Call Number/Link: TEEN FICTION CASS, K.
Synopsis: Twenty years ago, America Singer entered the Selection and won Prince Maxon’s heart. Now the time has come for Princess Eadlyn to hold a Selection of her own. Eadlyn doesn’t expect her Selection to be anything like her parents’ fairy-tale love story … but as the competition begins, she may discover that finding her own happily ever after isn’t as impossible as she’s always thought.
I enjoyed the book, but didn’t feel as connected with Eadlyn as I did with America. I did enjoy seeing how some of her dates unfolded. Eadlyn is a very strong female who struggles with letting people in and showing any weakness. I feel that with the first 3 books in the series that the girls in the selection were put through test and challenges to see if they could handle being Queen. Book 4 is looking at the guys selection and it just seems like very little is asked of them to show they can handle being King. I hope in the next book that is addressed.
