Synopsis: This interactive retelling of the Three Little Pigs story allows the reader to play the part of the big bad wolf. Three interior die-cut holes invite readers to huff, puff, and blow the pigs’ houses down! This fractured fairy tale ends sweetly when, rather than blowing down the third pig’s brick home, the wolf/reader blows out the candles on a cake baked by the pigs! A satisfying and engaging read for every young Three Little Pigs fan.
This is a great version of the three little pigs for toddlers! It has simple drawings and repetition with first pig, second pig, and third pig all doing the same thing. The interactive element is great, especially one on one, for getting kids to blow through holes in the pages. It also has a happy ending! One caveat, it shows the materials the pigs build their houses out of, but doesn’t name them. But that’s a great opportunity to ask the kids about what the pigs are using to build their houses.
