Synopsis: Only Amanda can see her imaginary friend – until the sinister Mr Bunting arrives at Amanda’s door. Mr Bunting hunts imaginaries. Rumour says that he eats them. And he’s sniffed out Rudger. Soon Rudger is alone, and running for his imaginary life. But can a boy who isn’t there survive without a friend to dream him up?

My review:  This book can definitely be read to younger children age 1st grade and up if they can handle the scary parts.  This is a great read aloud.  The book is action packed, and keeps you engaged and wondering what will happen next.  The illustrations are really good and scary. I would recommend this to reluctant readers in grades 3rd grade and up.  A quick read that will keep them guessing.
